Gym Class 5/18 - 5/22

Hello Parents and Kids,

Wow, can you believe this is the last set of lesson plans for the school year? Thanks again for the comments on the lesson plans from last week.

Normally on the last week of school we have a game day with everyone. So here is the plan for your family.

Here are some games and activities you can do for gym class this week. Have fun and try as many as you would like.

1. Simon Says

2. Try some yoga ( their is some kid friendly ones on-line)

3. Frisbee and Frisbee golf  (you can make your own course)

4. Plan a scavenger hunt for the kids ( dosen't have to be a big one)

5, Follow the leader, active movements

6, Jump rope and hula hoops

7. Hot lava  ( moving from one place another without touching the ground)

8. Four square  (if the kids remember how to play)

To the 5 grade:   It was an honor to teach you over the last few years or so. You were a great class of students and I know you all will go far. Good luck in the future. Hope you stay active and try new and fun activities. I will miss all of you.Blush Miss LeClair

Have fun and enjoy the nice weather. Have a great summer and stay active and safe and see you next year.

Gym Class for 5/11 - 5/15

Hello parents and kids

Hope all of you had a good week and a Happy Mother's Day.

Here are your lessons for this week

Let's get outside some more and take a nature walk. Let's see how many animals and birds you can see. Are the leaves on the trees yet and can you find any flowers?  Can you see or hear anything else that was interesting on the walk?

Another thing you can work on is throwing and catching.  This is the time of year we get outside, talk about, and play baseball and softball.  You need to work on hand and eye coordination. So go out and play catch.

Have a great fun active week and of course stay healthy!

Gym class for May 4th - 8th

Hello Parents and Students!

Yes, it was a great weekend for doing anything outside, but I see this week we are going back to cooler weather. So here is a fitness game with playing cards.

The kids can use all 52 playing cards at once and have a long fitness activity so they only have to do it once or twice this week. The other option is to take or pick 10 cards a day for a warm-up before their schoolwork or if they get antsy they can get up and do the fitness activity in between subjects.  Have fun and work hard. If you don't remember how to do an exercise pick a different one.

Have a great week and keep moving. Thanks again for all the feedback.
Miss all you,
Miss LeClair
